Ulafaa

A chance to look back by Mohamed Alaabar

Just wanted to reflect some thoughts through this post.

Sometimes you realize how much effort and love you put when you look back at work you put with honesty.

The exhibition was a success despite all the challenges faced, from time constrains and resources. Nevertheless, Birmingham school of art and the team and artist was supportive and made this event happen.

These are pictures from the event ( all images were obtained through Ulafaa's website)

This year has also been productive, including new mediums , new color pallets , film photography and so traveling, i guess ill leave many of these to new upcoming posts.

for now i leave you with a teaser of Ulafaa's new upcoming exhibition posters:

Ulafa's initiative in partnership with Birmingham's School of arts is happy to announce "I am Khaleeji" project; a prelude to contemporary art scene of the Gulf. This project will start in parallel with Ulafaa's traveling exhibition "By the Book". It is of a great importance for us to promote our Bahraini art scene to a global audience... Please help us spread the word!

Back to University by Mohamed Alaabar

It has been a long summer. I've been fortunate to see friends , loved ones and invest in my art , by seeking exhibition opportunities and developing my work.

Ive been thinking lately wither I should start a Patreon page, for both exposure and independence through art. Other than that, I've been working on some beige and teal products ( beigeandteal.com ) so soon I'll upload pictures on some ceramic work both here and on B&T website.

Below are are close ups for a piece that will be exhibited in Birmingham in a group exhibition with my buddies from Ulaafa , a Bahraini reconciliation initiative through creativity and art.
